Just got into this band...wondering what took me so long. Drive Like Jehu were a postpunk/noiserock band in the early 90's from San Diego. It's really loud and noisy, the guitars are really dissonant. I don't know, this guys voice alone does it for me.

This band is listed as Post-Rock but i don't really see it. There isn't any "rock" on the album, just really cinematic piano and strings. A very good fall album. For fans of Dirty Three, Library Tapes etc.

Very new band, their first formal release. Found them on a forum a while back, and was stuck with only the two tracks on their myspace until now. Very intricate guitar melodies and some of the best drumming i've heard in a while, with interspersed soft/pretty vocals.
