The Brian Jonestown Massacre-Their Satanic Majesties Second Request

BJM is essentially Anton Newcombe's musical baby. Anton is pretty much an insane musical genius who claims he can play over 80 instruments. The band's line up is consistantly changing because they never get along, mostly due to Anton. Their story has been told on the documentary "Dig!", which follows them and their semi-friend band The Dandy Warhols relationship. There is a clip of it below.

Wavves-Wavves

Wavves is a project by 22 year old Nathan WIlliams, who in reality, is a lazy ass slacker. Despite his lazaaay attitude, he makes really good catchy, super distorted tunes he produces on cassette and on other lo-fi means. He recently had a public breakdown at the Primavera Sound 09 festival in Barcelona. He didn't finish even half the set, and got booed and things thrown at him, which was deserved. Turns out he was on a mix of valium, xanax, and ecstasy, which is an awful idea. After this disaster he made a public apologize and cancelled the rest of the summer tour. There is a video below of the whole debacle.

No Age-Nouns

No Age is a lot of just loud lo-fi two piece guitar-drum explosion from Los Angeles. I enjoy them, so did Sub Pop Records that signed em Spring of 08. It might not be for everyone, but it's worth a listen.
